Hi, I’m Joseph (Joey) Lafko — a Los Angeles–based videographer, photographer, and producer currently studying at USC’s Annenberg School and School of Cinematic Arts. My passion lies in telling authentic, high-impact stories through sports media.
I’m currently a producer at Andrew Whitworth’s private training facility, where I lead video production for a feature series documenting NFL athletes in their offseason. I also work as a Creative Producer for USC Athletics, where I produce short-form content and social media reels across a range of sports — from football and basketball to tennis, rowing, and lacrosse. My creative work spans every stage of production, from concept development to final cut.
Previously, I interned at Fox Sports 1 as a production intern on Speak, where I cut VOs, SOTs, and bumps for daily national broadcasts. I also stepped behind the lens as the show's set photographer and videographer — with my content used in official promotional material aired on FS1.
As a sports photographer with USC Annenberg, I’ve captured the intensity and emotion of game day, refining my skills in both live coverage and storytelling.
Some of my recent work includes producing a feature video on Cooper Kupp’s final moments in Los Angeles — a piece that was featured on NFL Network, Sports Illustrated, and Yahoo News. I’ve worked with high-profile athletes including Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Tyler Higbee, Christian Yelich, Jordan Whittington, Paris Johnson Jr., and Quinten Lake — each collaboration built on trust, professionalism, and creative chemistry.
